Da Kine

Aloha,
Da Kine is a Horde raiding guild based on Lethon - we are looking for individuals to join our raid team as we push to finish up farming T6 and make a strong foray into Sunwell prior to Wrath’s arrival. While we are a raiding guild, we certainly look for more then just raiders in our players. This guild is the oldest remaining raid guild on Lethon, having stood the test of time for more then 2 years now. Many of us have played together since the game’s release though we are blessed to count many great friends outside of that distinction with us now. While we expect performance, promptness and all the things that raiding progression in WoW demands, we truly want people with an eye for fun and good times with awesome people first and foremost. Gear can be attained - and while saying that, I’d like to point out that we ARE looking for people who are ready to jump into T6 with a minimum of re-gearing but even if not, should you feel you’ve got the right personality to roll with a bunch of goofy folks out to kick some pixellated tail, please do look us up @ http://www.dakineguild.net

We are currently seeking the following classes for our T6 raid core:
1x Mage
1x Resto Druid
1x Warlock

Our raid times are as follows: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - from 7:30 to 11:15 PM PST

On the 17th of June, 2006 - a group of players landed on a fresh new server, coming with a dream of a new guild. Many hailed from the same server, having played together for some time now. Others, joined them from other servers. Within a few hours of rolling new characters, a guild was established. A guild that was forged by a desire to have one’s cake and eat it. Seeking to push onto a path that allowed people to raid, without having to give up having a life to do so. A place where friends who may not have such time to devote to raiding would still be welcome. A guild where loyalty and friendship was the driving force empowering everything the guild body did.

Two years later we remain. Da Kine has stood in trials of fire and continues to flourish. Though comrades have left, we have been blessed by many new ones who carry on what we are. Changes occur and we are different as time has demanded us to be, but through all the rough times and tribulations, the plentiful moments of laughter, success and plain old fashioned online fun remains at the core of what we enjoy. It is a victory and success shared by all, new and old member alike.

May 8th, 2008. Da Kine steps into the ring again to face off with the Lord of Black Temple. And while on the screen there are trolls, undead, blood elves, tauren and orcs, behind those characters are the faces of people working 40 hour jobs, upholding normal lives and who have poured their free time and devotion into making a guild built around good times flourish. An hour later these same people stood over the broken body of Illidan Stormrage.

In the grand scheme of things, we have not achieved something of “note” in the lines of progression. Hundreds of guilds have come before us - and yet, for the good members of Da Kine, raider or not, the fall of Illidan is an echoing victory of success - vindication that a guild based on friendship, fun and good times can reach for the virtual stars. There will always be challenges and trials ahead of us, but for the good people bearing the Da Kine tag - we have made our mark and it is truly a time to be proud of all the hard work done by everyone, from raid leaders and officers to even our fellow friends who may not raid, but have cheered us on and stood behind us as we pushed forward.

Ahh yes. Snooty Blood Elves. You see them far too often, but most of the time they’re just an easy smack-up. The 4 snooty of snootiest however got a little bit of Da Kine style lov’in tonight as we pilfered them for…their pants. Nom nom. Toss in the added bonus of some brief practice with Lord Emo himself [phase 2 - 1 Azzinoth flame down so far \o/] and soon we’ll be dancing in our birthday suits over another conquered instance.

After the entirely too random accrual of Hearts with the realization that we didn’t really have to wear pants, whether they had shadow resist or not, we descended upon the entirely saucy sounding Mother Shahraz and her collection of Belf hussies and random man-slaves. Sadly for Mother, while we certainly appreciated the hotness she bears to a certain raid leader’s mother, things just didn’t end up very well for her. We however, celebrated the downing of another boss and fix our eye on the 4 stuffy Belfy-belfs presiding over the Black Temple. I’m sure Leilei is gonna squeal with glee over these 4 dying soon…

Da Kine has closed recruiting for the time being as we have filled our open resto raid slot. Bear in mind we’re always happy to look over applications of stellar quality, but we cannot promise raiding positions.

Da Kine is currently seeking Resto Shaman applicants for an open raid slot - we are currently 6/9 BT and 5/5 Hyjal. As such, we expect applicants to be knowledgeable, geared sufficiently and being keyed is a big plus - but most important is your attitude and sense of fun!
