June 17, 2006. 20+ fresh faced level 1 Horde rolled out of various starting zones and began plundering the new server of Lethon. Within a few hours a guild charter had been signed and put into action and Da Kine was born.
3 years later we have those memories and thousands more that weave the tapestry of our guild’s history. New faces and old alike continue to enjoy the game under the Da Kine banner. While we have seen many fond faces leave us for various reasons, we have had the pleasure of many new ones to take their place and push this awesome guild forward.
Our raiding spirit continues, even through various rough periods, both within the guild and through the size of our server – and still we have perservered. It is a testament to the members of this guild, both raider and casual, that we continue to thrive today – and hopefully for many more years into the future, even if the game of choice may change.

Da Kine has made great strides in both 10 and 25 man content over the last couple of months, and we’re proud to have Yogg-Saron down in both raids. Congratulations to everyone involved!
Just as important has been DK’s efforts towards achievements and hard-modes in 10 and 25 man content, which we’ve been working on knocking out left and right.
Now if a certain noob (me) would get the kill-shots completed in a timely manner, our front page would actually reflect our ongoing progress!
Well done, everyone!

Nearly 5 years ago, as our small group of friends formed on our original server, we had the pleasure and wonderful company of a player who went by the name of Treascair. Through the years despite fighting off the usual curve-balls life threw her way, Treas remained in our company and continued to provide us with good times and her unique personality. As we transitioned here to begin Da Kine nearly 3 years ago, she chose to join us and add her healing talents and sexy fun style to the mix that makes Da Kine the awesome guild it is, continuing up until a few months ago when she left to pursue a more casual gaming experience. She left on good terms and with many fond wishes for a good time in her new home by all of us who remained.
It is with a heavy heart that we dedicate this small passage to our friend Treascair, who passed away a few weeks ago. We will always remember the infectious laughter, the good-natured dirty commentary and the myriad of great times and endearing moments that she brought to our online lives, and by extension, to our real ones.
We will miss you – but never forget you.
Love,
Da Kine

Patch 3.1 has cometh and so Da Kine jumps into the instance with both feet. Well, as much as possible between the shakey server condition and fubared mods *fist-shake at Blizzard* Despite the chaos of patch night, the server was stable our second night in and so we molly-whopped Flame Leviathan and Razorscale. Alas – we had no clue of the hilarity that Deconstructor would impose on us and so despite a quick jaunt to him, the raid died in a torrent of laughter and confusion.
More to come! Imua Da Kine!

You’d think a dragon guarding amazingly important eggs might consider more security and even a password for his portal. Alas, Sartharion and his 3 bitchy bodyguard drakes have succumbed to Da Kine after a few evenings of hard work. Moving forward, now it’s time to figure out how to keep people alive through all of Naxx’s boss fights >.>
Awesome work as ever and we look forward to the future challenges of Ulduar!
