A Call to Arms

April 7th, 2011

Lok-tar my fellow warriors, those are the drums of war you hear beating throughout all of Orgrimar, Thunderbluff, Undercity, Undermine, and Silvermoon. War is coming; we must unite under a single banner or fall like our ancestors before us.

The banner of Da Kine has been carried bravely by many brothers and sisters of the horde and placed at many enemies’ dead corpses on the battle field. Though one should note that Da Kine is a family orientated guild and do value our comrades taking time for their families, jobs, and other professions outside of Azeroth. This being said we still live by the Horde’s moto, Lok-Tar Orgar, Victory or Death!

We are actively recruiting for new members to carry the guilds name to glory in our 25 man progression raiding core.

New Roles

March 11th, 2011

With all walks of life there are comings and goings. In this case we must celebrate the new members of our guild being promoted to the rank of officer.

Please join me in welcoming our new officers in Da Kine!

Ruthursone – DPS Lead
Wolfess – DPS Lead
Ryoushi – DPS Lead
Lamatta – Heal Lead
Monarran – Tank Lead
Makaio & Bela – Player Development/Weekend Raiding

In addition, Medevah will be our Raid Lead with Avatre providing Assistant Raid Lead duties.

Congrats to everyone of you!

The Shattering of Azeroth

March 8th, 2011

It all began with the great shattering of our world and the coming of the Harbinger of Death itself. As one of Lethons’s oldest guilds we have rallied to the cause to ensure the safety of Azeroth and all of its inhabitants– We are Da Kine and we are back!

After the whole ordeal with the Icecrown Citadel and the fall of the Lich King we thought we would get some time to rest and enjoy peaceful Azeroth. We were wrong…with the shattering of Azeroth came the invasion of the elementals and a re-forging of the world we had known with the coming of Deathwing! In the usual Da Kine manner we have taken up our mantle as Lethon’s protectors and have again started to mow down all who oppose us.

With three new raids added, a pvp raid boss, the new guild leveling system, as well as a ferocious new PvP season there has been many new things for everyone. As with the usual protocol Da Kine’s 25 man raid progression has already sunk their teeth in the vast majority of Deathwings Cronies. With the Baston of Twilight housing the infamous Twilight Hammer Clan and their leader Cho’gall the legendary Orge-magi, we thought this would be a perfect place to start our progression. We made quick work of Halfus, Valiona and Theralion, as well as the Ascendant Council, and when it came to Cho’gal we had to put every bit of their soul into resisting his corruption to eventually bring the hulking orge down. Now we have moved on to Black Wing Descent and have already blown through Magnaw, The Omnotron Defense System and Maloriak. Lok-tar orgar my fellow warriors!

Our 10 man teams have also done extremely well in pushing back Deathwings advances! Most recently on Monday the 7th, Da Kine struck a huge blow to the Black Dragon Flight by finally taking down one of their top commanders and Deathwings own son, Nefarian! The 10-man responsible consisted of Aesd, Amaraz, Axedyou, Dawtz, Kiwifruit, Llysara, Raveena, Slapdance and Suavij from Da Kine as well as a lone shaman Lubbly who thought to lend a hand to the cause because their Druid, Jayhme, could not stay “conscious”, curse of the laggyinterwebs, for long enough to down the big Dragon.

The downing was followed closely by a second kill in another 10 man, consisting of Kuroneko, Alastian, Tog, Xanidus, Kulan, Narcis, Jargnzerg, Nokokoo, Suavegrip, and Leilei, granting more Defenders of a Shattered World titles to the guild.  Congratulations to all of our raiders.

Congratulations to all who helped defeat all of the leaders of Deathwings army and help earn the guild achievement “Guild Glory of the Cataclysm Raider” and now we all can ride our Dark Pheonixs into battle against the next coming foe that dares threaten our realm of Lethon!

In other news we have a rather amazing announcement! None other than our goblin warlock Skylined has asked our Troll Shaman Shastessii if he could have her hand in marriage! She accepted this young goblins request and although there might be a bit of a height difference to get over I am sure they will work it and have a happy life together, we all know those goblins can be tricksy! (On a more serious note, the guild would like to congratulate these two players on their recent engagement, and wish them the best in their lives together).

Please meet Raveena!

March 4th, 2011

I’m pleased to introduce you to Raveena.  He’s a newer member to the guild who first applied to us just shy of 6 months ago, but has already gotten quite involved in the guild as a whole, and is stepping up to the plate in a big way!

The front news page of Da Kine has long been a barren wasteland of posts, because we were just too busy having fun in game and on our forums to keep the front page updated like we should.  But Raveena has decided to take on the task of being our resident Newscaster-Journalist-Superhero-of-the-Writing-Variety-Kinda-Guy, and he’ll be keeping you riveted to your seats with updates soon…

… Or at least give you more to look at than the occasional tumbleweed that used to blow through this front page.

So keep your eyes peeled for some fresh content and much more frequent updates gracing this page, and for those of you who already carry the <Da Kine> tag, watch out behind you for the Paparazzi-called-Raveena who might be stalking your every move.

Progression Update Placeholder!

June 4th, 2010

Resident news-person reporting for duty!  Unfortunately, I come bearing a distinct lack of pretty pictures to help balance the walls of text I usually inundate our visitors with, so here’s a picture of a Taunka to entertain you for now.

Rest assured, a thorough update will be coming soon enough, but in the mean-time, we though it might be best to at least have our main page reflect our progress to date.

At the time of this posting, we’ve made stellar progress through Icecrown Citadel, with 6 of 12 bosses dead on heroic mode for our 25 man raid.  Our 10 mans have been no less successful, and are currently sitting at 10/12 heroic bosses defeated, with 11/12 likely for this weekend.

We’re still recruiting for a few spots in our 25 man raids, and you can find more information here.

A proper update with killshots and welcomes and other fancy details will be coming shortly to a front-page near you.

Imua Da Kine!
